First-time learner guide
Everything needed to navigate the Summer Portal, join class and submit work correctly.
Joining live classes
Open your course and select Live Class. The Join button works from 9:45 AM until 12:15 PM WAT for the Monday and Wednesday 10:00 AM–12:00 PM sessions. Allow camera and microphone access when prompted.
File and folder organisation
Create one main folder named NDGA-Summer-Tech-2026. Inside it, create a folder for each course and week. Keep code, images and documents in clearly named subfolders.
Downloading course materials
Open the lesson containing the material and select Download. Save notes and slides inside the correct weekly folder so they are easy to find during class.
Uploading assignments
Open the task, read the instructions and upload the requested ZIP, PDF, document, image or project link. Confirm the correct filename before submitting.
Quizzes, progress and help
Portal quizzes may use one-answer or multiple-answer checkboxes and are scored automatically. Progress updates after meaningful lesson completion and submitted work. Use Messages and Support whenever you need private help.
